Our Team

I moved from Scarborough up the hill to The BEND 12 years ago. A couple of years ago David Wray and I learned about the exciting long-term changes to Scarborough Beach Road that the City of Stirling was planning. So we thought that instead of waiting for all of this to happen one day, it would be great to improve the amenities and sense of community now with small community initiatives. So together we founded The BEND. Since then I have been part of this ever-evolving Community Group in various roles and love the enthusiasm of our members and all the small and big events and projects that The BEND has been able to do or support over the years.

Dave was founder and Chair of The Bend for a few years before handing over the reins. He is passionate about community development that puts people first, by building on strengths.

This photo of me was taken in Rottnest which I can see from my spot on The Bend. I am very pleased to be apart of the Bend in the Road again. I have a strong interest in community so I like to be involved in events and projects that encourage and celebrate our place.

Becky has created this great new website for The BEND. She also helps companies with websites and digital marketing while pursuing the development of immersive advertising VIRTUALIIS.

Paul has been living in Doubleview for the past 6 years. He loves the sense of community and feels that The BEND has done so much to instil that, so he is eager to be part of progressing that further as part of the committee.
