The Bend Art Comp 2025 – My Neighbourhood
The Bend is pleased to announce the theme for the My Neighbourhood Art Comp 2025:
Reuse, Recycle, Represent
Show us what Reuse, Recycle and Represent means to you in your Neighbourhood.
Limited to one submission entry per person.

Prizes and judging categories
- Children 7-10 years – Winner: $50 prize money
- Youth 11-17 years – Winner $100 prize money
- Adult, 18 years and over – $200 prize money
A panel of three judges will select one winning entry from each category and winners will be announced in April 2025.

Art Competition Submission Guidelines
- Entries to be submitted from 28th April to 3rd May 2025.
- Competition Closes 3rd May 2025
- Winners announcement in May
- Entry is free.
- Theme of the competition: Reuse, Recycle, Represent.
Participants will use pre-used material, e.g., packaging, fabric, twigs and leaves to create an artwork that represents something about their life where they live. For example, they may choose to depict visiting the beach or park. They could represent local wildlife or vegetation, or they could represent the built environment e.g., their local shops or restaurants. The artwork must be contained within a single picture frame max A4 size. An example image is shown on this page (frame removed)
- Artwork to celebrate people, culture, place, animals or plants from your neighbourhood
- Artwork must be recent and be created within the last six months.
- Only one artwork can be submitted per person.
- Photos of the Artwork to be submitted through the entry form below (saved as high-quality JPEG, file size larger than 1mb, and less than 4mb)
- Upload using the file name format: your last name and artwork title.
- Physical Artwork to be submitted to the following venue: Scarborough Library
- Artwork will be displayed locally in an exhibition at the Scarborough Library
- If you are under 18 years of age you will need consent from a parent or guardian, to enter.
- Artworks need to be original, free from copyright and not breach any persons’ rights of privacy.

Note: Competitors do not have to attend the workshop in order to enter the competition.
Submit Your Photos of the Artwork in the Form below and your physical Artwork to the Scarborough Library (between the of 28th April and the 3rd of May) .
